• Securely attached children tend to form healthier/better relationships all round and less likely to be involved as a victim or perpetrator for bullying
• Also can determine parenting style, pass down parents parenting style as a template (generational)

• Hard determinism; suggests children who are insecurely attached are doomed for later relationships; self fulfilling prophecy
• Practical application; way more common for parents to hit their children back in the day than now, suggesting that parenting style may not be so generational
• Often relies on retrospective assessments and may be difficult to determine if child truly has a healthy relationship
• Confounding variables; parenting type, genetic influences such as personality type, infant temperament may affect the way a parent responds so influences attachment bond
