What is the difference between Audio and Sound?
Audio = the signal that passes through audio equipment, not audible

Distortion - creates a harmonic or inharmonic sound
Chorus - a delayed signal added to the original
Pitch shift - shifts a pitch
Compressor - controls the amplitude of the signal without effecting the sound
What is Equalisation?
Equalisation is the process of altering frequencies that were changed by the enviroment
How do you avoid a ground loop?
Isolate power from audio equipment from other department equipment
What is a signal flow diagram and how is it used?
Shows the connection between all of the audio equipment.
Used for troubleshooting or set up.
What are some features of a signal flow diagram?

- Microphone > mixer > amp > speaker
- Drums require 3 seperate mics. (snare, kick and cymbals)
