A top-down view from over head.
What is an elevation view?
A view of any vertical surface.
What is a Cross section view?
A view of any vertical surface where the view cuts through the objects
What is a section view?
A view sliced through an object (Cutting plane)
What is a revision cloud meaning in an architectural plan?
A cloud drew around a portion of a plan which was changed.
Explain what an as-built drawing is.
To show where any electrical or mechanical drawings have been installed and as well as any changes. They are provided to the home-owner, for the case of future renovations.
Who draws the shop drawings?
The manuf. of the component requiring the shop drawings (Windows, trusses, cabinets, etc.)
What is an architectural drawing?
Presents an overall design of the building or object to be built.
What kind of building are Architectural drawings used for?
Used for Industrial, institutional, residential, industrial and commercial
What do Architectural drawings primarily show?
Building size, building shape, shape, exterior/interior finish details and room use.
