Special biological catalyst that speed up reactions

Has a unique shape so it can bind to a specific substrate molecule

A
Enzymes binds to the substrate because they are complementary (shapes)
So substrate is broken down into products
So products are released from the surface of the enzyme

The sum of all the reactions in a cell or in the body
