Explain beating.
You use the beating method to make a mixture smooth by using a hand whisk or electric whisk.
Explain blending.
You use the blending method to combine two or more ingredients until they are soft and smooth.
Explain creaming.
You use the creaming method to soften a fat with a spoon or mixer, either before adding something else or while your adding something else which is usually sugar. When creaming the sugar grains are cut into the fat with the purpose of trapping air.
Explain folding.
You use the folding technique when trying to trap air into the mixture.
Explain incorporating.
You use the incorporating method when mixing any new ingredients so that it is evenly distributed throughout

You use the kneading method when working a dough with your hands using a pressing motion followed by a folding motion.

You use the mixing method when combining ingredients in any way that causes a distribution.
Explain Rubbing in.
You use the rubbing in method to distribute small pieces of solid fat evenly through dry ingredients. This traps air
Explain stirring.
You use the stirring method to mix ingredients with a circular motion.
Explain whipping.
You use the whipping method to beat rapidly to incorporate air and increase volume.
