Is eating butter the same as eating bread?
Butter and bread are made of compounds that have the same elements: C, H, O.
But, it is not the same because the atoms are arranged differently and that means your body can use them in different ways.
Is the same eating 2 differnt types of food?
NO
Remember: although all contain C, H and O, the monomers (subunits) that form each type of polymers (macromolecule) are very different:
Amino acids build…
Protein are used for…
Protein
Growth and tissue repair
Simple Carbohydrates
(Sugar) is used in ….
Respiration
Quick:
Lipid used for….

(starch is stored in plants as an energy reserve because it is made of many glucoses)
What are the main nutrients that should be part of your daily diet?
Carbohydrates
To provide energy.

Vitamin C
To heal wounds
Iron
