Used for temporary or permanent bandaging of wounds
Triangular and Cravat bandages
Used to hold dressings in place, supports injured parts and secure, splints and immobilizes and injured part
Roller Bandages
Used only for anchoring a bandage
Circular Bandage
Diagonal along the axis of each part each turn covering 1/2 the width of the proceeding one
Spiral Bandage
Ascending and descending spiral turns
Spiral reverse of forearm
Aka stump bandage. Direction is charge 90 degrees
Recurrent turns
Most widely accepted and commonly used technique
Figure-of- eight
Overlapping figure of eight
Spica
Begins with each turn directly over the joint and then steadily fanning away from the joint
Ascending spica
Starts distant from the joint and will finish its turn over the joint line
Descending Spica
