A

A

Urban sprawl causes city growth, so people move outwards from the city

A

A

Places/towns losing their individual identity. High streets and shopping centres, having many TNCs.

A

Increasing interconnectedness of the world’s economic, cultural and political systems. It has increased the production of goods and services as well as TNCs and FDIs

What is meant by 'global culture'?
Result of globalisation. The spread of ideas, beliefs and practices between different countries

Marketing on a global scale, taking advantage of global operational differences in order to meet global objectives

Giving a new image to a place/city to attract people back. E.g. East Birmingham

Status of an inner urban area, which was neglected, is upgraded and status is improved. E.g. London Docklands

Improving and investigating in an area. May include demolition and rebuilding
