Semivegitarian
Consumes vegetables, grains, nuts, fruits, and rarely meat, seafood, eggs, and dairy.
Pescivegitarian
Similar to semi vegetarian, but excludes, poultry, fish is the only animal source of protein in the diet 
Lacto-ovovegetarian
Includes vegetables, greens, nuts, fruits, dairy products, and eggs. It excludes animal, flesh and seafood.
Lacto-vegetarian
Similar to lacto ovo-vegetarian but excludes eggs
Ovovegetarian
Similar to lactose oval vegetarian, but excludes dairy
Vegan
The strict vegetarian that only consumes plant-based foods like vegetables, greens, nuts, and fruits. This may not provide adequate vitamin B12, zinc, iron or calcium.
Macrobiotic diet
Vegan type diet that becomes more strict until almost all foods are eliminated. At the extreme level, only brown rice and water or herbal tea and in these cases may cause malnutrition and death.
Fruitarian
Big on making sure not to damage the plant itself, but only the fruit that it bears. Consumes only raw or dried fruits, seeds, nuts, honey, and vegetable oil. Very restrictive and deficient in protein, calcium, zinc, iron, and other nutrients.
Raw foods diet
Vegan type diet with vegetables that are hardly or not cooked, very restrictive and result in inadequate energy and nutrient intake
Why be vegetarian?
Can be for religious, ethical or food, safety reasons, and there are many health benefits to being vegan
