White belt
White signifies innocence as that of a beginning student who has no previous knowledge of Taekwondo
Yellow Belt
Yellow signifies the Earth from which the plant sprouts and takes root, signifying the TaeKwonDo foundation that is laid.
Green Belt
Green signifies the pants growth as Taekwon-Do skill develops.
Blue belt
Blue signifies the Heaven toward which the plant matures into a towering tree as training on taekwondo progresses
Red belt
Red signifies danger, cautioning the student to exercise co trol and warning opponents to stay away
Black belt
Black is the opposite of white, therefore, signifying the students maturity and proficiency in taekwondo. It also indicates the wearers imperviousness to darkness and fear.
