Q

DESCRIBE

A

PPTS watch slides while listening to a story.
CONDITION 1: uninteresting
CONDITION 2: traumatic story about a boy who was in an accident.
After two weeks ppts came back to answer questions about the slides. Those in CONDITON 2 remembered more.

THEN repeated to test adrenaline, repeated but gave them BETA BLOCKERS. These interfere with the release of adrenaline; in the study it was used to prevent activation of the amygdala to prevent the formation of emotional memory.

Q

RESULTS/CONCLUDE

A

those with BETA BLOCKERS, didn’t remember as many details.
