Q

Why is blood compatibility important

Blood transfusions need to be handled with care

if the recipient of the transfusion receives the wrong blood-type antibodies will trigger an immune response. Causing the blood to form clumps

Q

how does blood typing in a lab work

A

Blood sample gets taken, then the blood is mixed with A, B and Rh antibodies, they check for any agglutination (clumps), then the results come and you know what the blood type is
