- insoluable
- strong
- flexibility

Globular:
- soluable
- spherical

Q

What are the differences in function between fibrous and globular proteins?

A

Fibrous:
- structure: collagen in bones or cartilage
- protection: keratin in skin, hair, nails
- elasticity: elastin in blood vessels, alveoli

Globular:
- enzymes in metabolic roles, catalysing reactions to lower activation energy
- hormones for cell signalling
- haemoglobin, oxygen transport
- package DNA
