Define homeostasis
Homeostasis is the ability to maintain constant internal conditions when outside conditions change
How does oxygen help the body to obtain energy
All cells in our bodies help processing the energy and nutrients into energy that cells can use by performing cellular respiration
How does the body transport oxygen
Oxygen enters the body through the respiratory system when inhaling the respiratory system works with the circulatory system to transport oxygen to all cells in the body. the muscular system also helps that respiratory system by expanding the chest so that the cells in the lungs fill up with oxygen
How does the body transport and process wastes
Foods and liquids are processed by the digestive system after nutrients are absorbed during digestion the excretory System removes solid waste products through the rectum. The excretory system Also maintains liquid homeostasis liquid waste travel through the circulatory system to the kidneys needs which makes urine. liquid wastes also travel to the skin where fluid is released during sweating
What is reflex
Reflex is a rapid response system that reacts to stimuli without sending information to the brain to process it
What are hormones
Hormones are chemical signals released by the endocrine system allowing it to coordinate with the other body systems
Distinguish between positive and negative feedback mechanism
Negative feedback is a control system that helps the body maintain homeostasis by sending a signal to stop at response while positive feedback mechanism is a control system that sends a signal to increase a response
