Where is Amylase produced?
In the salivary glands, small intestine and pancreas
What is produced in the liver and what does it do?
Bile is produced in the liver and it neutralises acid and emulsifiers fat
How does food travel in the stomach?
The stomach pummels the food with muscular walls
What is produced in the stomach?
The protease enzyme, Pepsin
What liquid is found in the stomach and what is its job?
Hydrochloric acid is found in the stomach and it kills bacteria and gives the right pH for the protease enzyme to work.
What does the pancreas produce and where does the pancreas send these to?
Protease, amylase and lipase enzymes are found in the pancreas and it releases them into the small intestine
What happens in the large intestine?
Water is absorbed
What is kept in the gall bladder?
Bile is stored in the gall bladder.
