A

You can prevent unplanned pregnancies by using contraceptive methods hormonal and non-hormonal. You can also use apps to track ovulation. The only 100% effective contraceptive method is abstinence, being educated on the topic can help you plan and protect yourself from an unplanned pregnancy.

What is the difference between hormonal and non hormonal?

A

Hormonal: Hormonal methods, like the pill, “trick” the pituitary gland into thinking a woman is pregnant which then prevents ovulation. They use synthetic hormones like estrogen and progestin to prevent pregnancy.

Non Hormonal: Non Hormonal methods rely on physical barriers or other mechanisms to prevent pregnancy
