no-gi wrist grabs (1- and 2-hand)
2-hand choke defense (finger grab)
1 knee up, 1 leg straight. Belly push with upa, catch arm, hook foot, bridge.
scissor sweep, push sweep, elevator sweep, helicopter sweep
Grab arm and collar on same side. Hold arm close so opp can't post. Opposite knee bent w- foot on floor, shrimp, knee/shin against opp's torso w- hook on body. Other leg can scissor or push against opp's upper knee. If opp puts foot on floor, foot hooked on torso can hook under leg with knee still on body, elevator. Helicopter, grab under opp's knee and sweep.
wrist lock -- squeeze palm and twist; or trap wrist, push behind elbow
Arm under neck, other arm pummeled, gable grip. Knees in armpit and hip.
chest on chest sweep (jai alai arms)
break posture by pulling elbow laterally (upa helps)
open closed guard -- doorstop; standing
sleeve choke - fist on same side; or blade on opposite side
free leg from half guard
Hug head, push knee.
move from half to closed guard
Forearm pushes leg until knee can push.
From side mount. Push far arm to floor at right angle. One hand holds wrist, other goes under arm at elbow and grabs own other wrist. Paintbrush arm down with backs of fingers on mat.
knee on belly escape
Grab belt with far hand and put close hand on knee of opp's outstretched leg. Push with both arms and shrimp out onto hip.
foot wrap and shin sweep
From spider guard, wrap one leg out and over arm, pushing foot through armpit. Other leg blocks with shin, knee pointing outside. Grab knee pants on side using shin. Roll hip of wrapped leg to floor, sweeping opponent.

Grab sleeves. One foot on biceps, other leg at knee. Scissor leg at knee while pushing foot on biceps.
Grab wrist with same side hand, other hand grabs biceps and pulls arm across. Can continue by stepping behind while swinging arm on biceps to neck for rear naked choke.
closed guard to spider guard
Grab sleeves, shrimp out hip and pull in knee on opposite side then pull in other knee. Feet are on hips with opp's arms pulled outside your knees by sleeves. Move feet to biceps.
