What two currents are used and what is the benefit of combining them?
SWD and galvanic. Creates the effectiveness of galvanic and speed of SWD.
Benefits of SWD in blend?
Warms the lye increasing the caustic effects.
How would you normally establish the working point of the blend current?
Set the intensity of both to the minimum. Then increase the galvanic until you get the desired effect. Don’t increase SWD.
Why is the indifferent electrode sometimes covered with and why?
With an absorbent material soaked in saline, assists with the current flow, protects the skin against any galvanic current build up.
What is treat and leave? What are the benefits?
Treat if the hair doesn’t slide out move on to the next one and come back a minute or so later. Chemical reaction continues to work. Don’t waste time re-probing.
