10
Q

Describe what HbA1c is.

A

HbA1c is short for ‘glycated haemoglobin’. It is made when the glucose (sugar) in your body sticks to your red blood cells.

Your red blood cells live for about ~ 3 to 4 months. So if your body cannot use glucose properly, your HbA1c will go up.
