HIGH LIFT DEVICES, INCREASE LIFT AND DECREASE STALL SPEED DURING TAKEOFF, LOW SPEED MANEUVERING AND LANDING. LE DEVICES CONSIST OF FOUR FLAPS AND EIGHT SLATS. TRAILING EDGE DEVICES TWO FLAPS INBOARD AND FOUR SLATS OUTBOARD OF EACH ENGINE.

EACH MAIN GEAR WHEEL HAS A MULTI-DISC HYDRAULIC POWERED BRAKE. THE BRAKE PEDALS PROVIDE INDEPENDENT CONTROL OF THE LEFT AND RIGHT BRAKES. NOSE WHEELS HAVE NO BRAKES.
