Box woods are deer intolerant. They will not eat on them.
Box woods go dormant during the winter. The root system freezes and they cannot get any water through the root system. Even watering it will not get water into the plant.
What to do?
Around thanksgiving each year, you must spray the leaves of the bush with a desiccant. Timberline worker says to use “Anti Dessicant spray, and water the daylights out of it during “INSERT TIME AND PLACE TO WATER HERE.”
Normal box woods take full sun. Variegated boxwoods take like six hours max of full sun.
