A

There is a very high birth rate in poorer countries this is because
they can send their kids to work on farms to earn money,
most women don’t have careers and can marry young,
women are not educated on family planning ( how to avoid getting pregnant)

THey provide a moist blanket around the equator to stop the earth from overheating
Its home to over 12% of the earths plants and animals

Structure of the rainforest

A

There are five layers
Emergent- the tallest trees are found(50-60m) they are narrow and thin to reach the sunlight
Canopy - it’s a dense layer of greenery (6-7m)this layer blocks a lot of sunlight for other layers a large amount of animals and birds are found
Under canopy - a new canopy layer developing through time
Shrub layer / forest floor - are wet and dark many insects and mammals live there

Japan has a very hard working culture. People generally work very long hours. They are very patriotic. Education is very important.
Failure in education and careers is often considered a disgrace

Japan’s population is around 125 million. It has an ageing population as people are now living to a very old age. Family sizes are small as the Birth rate is low. It is very densely populated (crowded) as there is not much flat land.

A

Contraception is available to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
- Family planning advice / sex education is available
- Children are expensive and cannot work
- People are too busy working to get married and have kids.
- Women have careers and do not get married until later in life.

There is good healthcare with many doctors. - Drugs / Medicine is available. - There is good housing with clean water and sanitation - There is plenty of food and a healthy diet

Japan has become one of the richest countries in the world as it has developed High Technology Industries such as computers, electronics and cars. These products are in high demand worldwide and are very high in value. (They cost a lot of money to buy).

what it is like living im Japan
Education and Healthcare are amongst the best in the world. People live longer on average than any other country. Diet and sanitation are excellent. Houses are small and people work very long hours.

Why has Japan become so successful?
It has a very hard working culture and failure is considered a disgrace It has a very good education system It has developed industries which are in high demand around the world Car manufacturing eg Nissan Electronics eg Sony It is in a good location for trade because it is an island with many ports. It has easy access by sea to trade with the world’s biggest economic powers of China and the USA. This has allowed to import raw materials for its factories and export its goods around the world.
