There are five layers
Emergent- the tallest trees are found(50-60m) they are narrow and thin to reach the sunlight
Canopy - it’s a dense layer of greenery (6-7m)this layer blocks a lot of sunlight for other layers a large amount of animals and birds are found
Under canopy - a new canopy layer developing through time
Shrub layer / forest floor - are wet and dark many insects and mammals live there
