Opening lead?
No trump and you have KQJ75 of spades
K
If no, Trump, usually best to lead a car from your longest suit. If you have three or more touching high cards, lead the highest of the three. If you do not have touching high cards, lead a low card (ie 5)
Opening lead? Second choice?
Spades is trump
♠️Q63
♣️953

♦️KQJ76
5♥️
Attempt to short suit yourself by playing the hearts. When playing a two card, short suit, lead the higher of the two cards.
K♦️ is a good second choice. If you have touching high cards, lead the highest of the touching cards.
NT opening lead?
♠️KJ63

♦️J653
♣️7
3♠️
With no Trump, you typically lead your longest suit. Since you have an option here you pick your strongest suit which is spades. Since there are no touching high cards, you lead your lowest card.
What the rule of thumb if you are playing second (I.e following the card played by the opening lead)
Second hand low (follow suit with a low card).
What does an opening bid of two diamonds mean?
Not enough points for an opening hand, but six diamonds. “A weak two bid“
What does an opening bid of one clubs mean?
Opening points or satisfies rule of 20, but no five card major and no four card minor
What does an opening bid of two clubs mean?
Really strong hand. 22+ points. The 22 points can come from both high card points and distribution.
How do you respond if your partner “doubles” but you have a crappy hand with only 3 to 5 points?
Bid your longest suit (this is an exception, usually you would pass with only 3 to 5 points.)
How do you respond if your partner bids one spade and you have 6 to 10 points with Support for spades?
Bid two spades
How do you respond if your partner bids one Hart and you have 11 to 12 points with support for hearts?
Bid three hearts
