What is Beaujolais Nouveau?

A

A light red wine produced from Gamay grapes that have been fermented via semi-maceration Carbonic.
Whole berry fermentation in closed vats filled with carbon dioxide.
This extracts flavour and colour very quickly with very little tannin.
The wine is light and fruity, however it is generally overpowered by an aroma of banana/ pear drops and bubble gum.
Released on the 3rd Thursday of November, same year as harvest.
