what’s the criteria for cause and effect
A
The cause must precede the effect
The cause and effect must be correlated with each other
The correlation between cause and effect cannot be explained by another variable.

The extent to which the results of a study can be attributed to the treatment/s used in the study (Thomas et al., 2022)
