What are Lawyer’s duties once he takes on client’s matter?*
A
Act with reasonable diligence and promptness!!!
- E.g. Filing necessary papers timely!!!
Act with dedication and zeal (lawful + ethical steps to vindicate client’s cause)
- NOT incivility/offensive tactics!!!
Pursue the matter to completion (UNLESS Lawyer if fired/allowed/required to withdraw)
Terminate relationship (if lawyer-client relationship existence is in doubt)
