How do we get aluminium and iron ?

Extracting ores in rocks

Why is clay good for making bricks ?

It's soft when it is dug up making it easy to mould

Heat limestone and clay

Explain the process of making cement ?

Powdered clay and powdered limestone are roasted in a rotating kiln to make a complex mixture if calcium and aluminium silicates.

Cement is mixed with water which gradually makes it set hard

Mix cement with sand, aggregate and water

Hardness of concrete with the flexibility and strength of steel

Quarrying is very common. But what are the problems with it.

1) uses up land destroying habitats
2) transporting from site causes noise and pollution
3) produces dust and again noise bc dynamite !
4) disused sites are dangerous
