Q

Method for making salt

A
  • React an acid with an excess of metal, metal oxide, hydroxide or carbonate until no more reacts
  • Filter the mixture to get a solution of the salt with solid precipitate left behind
  • Heat the solution to start evaporating the water
  • Turn of heat wait until all water evaporates leaving the solid salt behind

Q

Method with carbonate

A

React an acid with an excess of metal, metal oxide, hydroxide or carbonate until no more reacts (no more bubbles left)
- Heat the solution to start evaporating the water
- Turn of heat wait until all water evaporates leaving the solid salt behind
