Indications
• Adult pulseless arrest associated with any of the following clinical conditions: o Known hyperkalemia
o Renal failure with or without hemodialysis history
o Calcium channel blocker overdose
• Not indicated for routine treatment of pulseless arrest
• Adult or pediatric calcium channel blocker overdose with hypotension, bradycardia

Dosage and Administration Adult:
• Pulseless arrest assumed due to hyperkalemia: o 1gslowIVpush
• Calcium channel blocker overdose:
o Contact base for order. 3 g slow IV/IO push over 2-3 minutes. Dose may be repeated
every 10 minutes for total of 3 doses Pediatric:
• Calcium channel blocker overdose:
o Contact Base. 60 mg/kg (0.6 mL/kg), not to exceed 1 g slow IV/IO push, may repeat
every 10 minutes for total of 3 doses
