P. Hard to interpret baby’s behaviour
E. Young babies lack co-ordination, movements are subtle.
E. Difficult to be sure if a baby is smiling or passing wind.

P. Observing behaviour doesn’t tell us it’s developmental importance.
E. Feldman-synchrony simply gives names to patterns of observable caregiver-baby behaviours
E.May no be particularly useful in understanding child development, doesn’t tell us the purpose of these behaviours.
L. Meaning we can’t be certain that reciprocity and synchrony is important.
