Why did the time spent recovering from his wound change Ignatius?
He was confined to his bed with two books - the life of Christ and the life of the Saints. After reading these books, he felt like he needed to do more than these saints.

Why might someone say if the mule and the moor incident didn't happen, there would be no St Ignatius?
Ignatius let the mule choose his path and the mule led him to God and away from killing the moor.
