What was the Schlieffen plan

A

A strategy drawn up by the Germans to defeat an attack from the Entente countries. The plan was to quickly defeat France before attacking Russia because they thought Russia would take too long to get ready and France was weak.

Because most countries wanted a war and they just needed a reason

How did the shooting of Franz Ferdinand lead to war?

A

Because Austria made demands on Serbia that is could not meet. They then attacked because of the alliances each country agreed to protect one another which lead to each country declaring war on each other.

What was the Moroccan crisis?

A

France took over Morocco and sent over troops. Germany did not like this so they sent over warships. Britain and Russia supported France (Triple entente) but Austria-Hungary did not support Germany
