what was the Moroccan crisis
both Germany and France wanted to take control of Morocco. in 1905 the kaiser made a speech in Morroco fighting for their independence France new this was lies and held a conference in 1906 which humiliated the kaiser this conference led to the formation of the triple entente
in 1911 Germany tried to take control of morocco again by the kaiser sending a gunboat to morroco.
due to this another conference was called Britain and France stood firm against Germany France were given morroco and Germany were giving land in Africa to compensate
what were the Balkan wars
the turkey empire falls this leads to countries like Bosnia getting independence
serbia and russia both wanted bosnia to build a Slavic empire but when austria hungry took Bosnia both countries were angry. .
but due to germany backing austria hungry they stood down as they didn’t have an army
this lead to tensions beetween russia and Austria hungry
what happened in the archduke Ferdinand assassination
arch duke Ferdinand the heir to Austria hungry and his wife were visiting Bosnia. p
bosnian people did not want to be under the rule of austria hungry and were angry about it
the archduke was in Bosnia too visit Austrian hungry troops
and assert strength

after the meeting the archduke took a different route and wanted to go the hospital to visit the injured people from the car when the driver took a wrong turn he met gabriola prince a memeber of a Serbian group that wanted bosnia to be free face to face who shot the arch duke and his wife dead
Austria requested serbia too agree to an ultimatum but when they didnt agree to Austria going in to the Serbian justice system autria delcared war on serbia with germnays backing and then Russia mobilised an army causing Germany to declare war on Russia
the Schlieffen plan and London treaty
due to Germany being sacred of getting in circled the germans decided to invade france before russia .
to do this they decided to go through belguim to get through into france
little did they know britain and belguim had a agreement called the London treaty which meant if anyone invaded Belgium Britain would have declare war on germany this lead to the western front when troops met at france

alliances such as the triple entente and triple alliance where key factors in causes in the war this is because when one side attacks another the other country had to back them for example Germany felt threaten by the alliance of France and Britain so joined with Austria hungry and when France invaded Belgium the alliance between Britain and Belgium brought Britain into the war
