CAS Field

To inform the flight crew regarding aircraft system status, EICAS messages are presented in the upper right corner of the EICAS display in a box known as the CAS field. There are four message levels:

How many modes does the EGPWS have?

A

Mode 1: The excessive descent rate.
Mode 2: The excessive closure to terrain.
Mode 3: The altitude loss after take-off.
Mode 4 (A B C) The unsafe terrain clearance.
Mode 5: The descent below glideslope.
Mode 6 (A B): The altitude callouts
