What are the differences between prescription requirements for CDs?
Schedule 1 - 4 vs 5
- valid for 28 days
- vaid for 6 months

- address of prescriber must be in the UK
- EEA and Swiss prescribers cannot prescribe
- prescription is NOT repeatable
Which CDs CAN be given as emergency supply?

- phenobarbital only for epilepsy
What is required to possess/administer Schedule 1 CDs?
Home Office license except in for the purpose of destruction or to hand over to a police officer
When is a license needed to import or export CDs?
Schedule 1 - 3, 4 part 1
- needed
Schedule 4 part 2 (zopiclone, sativex)
- needed unless imported or exported by a person for self administration
Travellers
- not needed if the person is carrying less than 3 months supply
