Cell Oraganelles Flashcards
(21 cards)
What cell structures are just found in plant cells
 Cell wall and chloroplast
What cell structures are just found in animal cells
Lysosome’s and centorli , or centrosomes
What is the difference between a Procreate cell and Eukaryote cell?
Procreate cells have an undeveloped nucleus only one chroma zone, very small and bacteria, blue algae and green
Eukaryote cells have a develop nucleus more than one chromosome. It is big and is all other organisms.
How would you draw a Procreate vs Eukaryote cell
Prokaryotic cells is a sperm, and the other is a full develop cell
What is cell theory?
On a living, things are made up of one of my cell
All living cells arise from pre-existing cells by dvsn
The cell is the basic unit of structure and function in all living things
What does the cell membrane do?
Controls what comes in and out of the cell found in both plant and animal cells
Draw and label things inside of a cell
Print out some pages and practice this
What does the cell wall do?
Rigid out layer of a plant cell
Provides shape strength and ridigity
Helps control cell expansion
What does the nucleus do?
Control centre of the cell contains DNA
What does the cytoplasm do
Jelly like material where organelles are found
What are the two types of endoplasmic reticulum
SER
RER
What does RER do?
Synthesizes, secreted, proteins, and membrane proteins
What does SER synthesize?
Synthesizes lipids for cell membrane
What does the Golgi body do?
Receives proteins and materials from the ER packages them, and distributes them
What do lysosomes do?
Uses chemicals to break down food and worn out cell parts
What do vacuoles do?
Store, substances, including water, and nutrients
What does the mitochondria do?
It’s called the powerhouse of the cell
Produces the energy a cell needs to carry out its functions
What does the chloroplast do
Text energy from sunlight and uses it to produce food in plant cells
What do centroil do?
Form spindle fibers, which help the movement of chromosomes during cell division
What does cytoskeleton do?
Determines the shape of the cell and gives structure strength, and is responsible for the movements
What does the nucleolus do?
Found inside the nucleus and produces ribosomes
