What is the functions of a mitochondrion?
A site that generates energy through glucose oxidation process during cellular respiration. Generates energy in the form of ATP molucules or adenosine triphosphate to be used by the cells
What is a centriole?
Small components that exist in pairs and only present in animal cells. They form spindle fibres which help with dividing chromosomes equally among daugther cells during cell division
What is the function of a golgi apparatus?
Consists of paralel layers of flattened sacs coated by a single cell membrane which help gather chemicals which is added at one end of the apparatus and then the chemicals are packed into the vesicles which bud off from the other end of the golgi apparatus
What are the functions and chareteristics of the plasma membrane?
Plasma membrane has a oter membeane and is made of proteins and phospholipids. Plasma membrane exists to separates xontent of the cell from external enviorment and to allow exhange of nutrients, respitory gases and waste material among cells and there surrounding.
