Makkah is situated in Arabia. It is a land of unparalleled charm and beauty. It is the city where our Holy Prophet(PBUH) was born. It is nearly fifty miles from the Red Sea
What type of competition was held at Ukaz?
A poetical competition was held at Ukaz every year. The Arabs used to recite their poetry in this competition.They had a remarkable memory and were an eloquent people. They could recite very long poems without giving an account.
What was the mission of the Holy Prophet(PBUH)?
The mission of the Holy Prophet was to destroy the nexus of superstition , ignorance and disbelief. He arose to proclain the oneness of Allah and the unity of mankind. He set up a noble example and conception to lead mankind to the light of faith.
Why did the pagan Arabs send a delegation to the Rasool’s uncle?
They sent a delegation to the Holy Prophet(PBUH)’s Uncle Abu Talib and told him to restrain the Rasool from preaching Islam or face their enmity. They started to mount pressure on the Holy Prophet and his followers.

Its starry sky has excited the imagination of poets and travellers. It was on this land that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was born in the city of Makkah which is about 50 miles from the Red Sea.
Why was the Holy Quran sent in Arabic?
Allah Almighty chose the Arabic language for his final dispensation and preservation of his word because the Arabs were eloquent people and could memorize things remarkably. Their eloquence and remarkable memory found expression in their poetry. The poets took part in competitions and could recite very long poems without giving an account.
What was the condition of mankind before the Holy Prophet(PBUH)?
Before the advent of the Holy Prophet(PBUH) , mankind stood on the verge of chaos. It seemed that the civilization which had taken four thousand years to grow had started crumbling. They were idol worshippers and treated the humans inhumanly. They had no judicial system.
Why did the Rasool stay in the Cave of Hira?
The Holy Prophet(PBUH) stayed in the cave of Hira when he was thirty eight years old. He used to spend most of his time in solitude and mediation in the cave of Hira. He used to retire there with food and water. He spent days and weeks in remembrance of Allah Almighty.
What was the first revelation?
The first revelation was:
“Read in the name of thy Lord who created; created man from a clot(of congealed blood): Read and thy Lord is most bountiful , who taught (the use of) the pen , taught man that which he knew not.”
What did Hazrat Ayesha say about the life of the Rasool?
She said “His morals and character are an embodiment of the Holy Quran.”
His whole life represents the Holy Quran. He preached Allah’s message and lifted humanity from the darkness of ignorance to the light of faith
