  • 1938 evening dress
  • made from black silk net decorated with polycheme sequins
  • probably influenced by men’s clothes and for comfort due to baggier style
  • chunky pattern w a more intricate pattern within the large patten

  • lots of sequins = quite heavy! but gives it more movement and look stunning in light
  • colour kept at minimum, signature of Chanel (only black and gold present)
  • detail in the pattern
