Scientific Methods
Solving a problem scientifically, 1. state the problem, 2. gather information, 3. form a hypothesis, 4. perform an experiment, 5. analyze data, 6. draw conclusions, if hypothesis is not supported by data, revise hypothesis, if hypothesis is supported by data perform more experiments.
Spontaneous Generation
The idea that living things come from nonliving things is known as spontaneous generation.
Theory
A scientific theory is an explanation of things or events based on scientific knowledge that is the result of many observations and experiments.
Variable
A variable is something in an experiment that can change.
