What is a production system
A collection of people, equipment and procedures organized to preform the manufacturing operations of a company
Production system consists of 2 major components
Facilities- including equipment ,equipment layout and the factory itself
Manufacturing Support Systems- Procedures used by the company to manage production, solve problems, ensure quality standards and product design among others
