Conscience. This is because God created us placed in his law and in out hearts
How do we deny our human dignity
By turning away from God
What happened as a result of original sin
We are subject to ignorance, suffering, and death and we have the tendency to use our free will and turn from God

What is an examination of conscience
Is the practice of thinking about our choices and determining whether we have followed God’s law and the teachings
What is a sin
Is any thought word, deed, or omission against God’s law

God offers us the hope of eternal life
God frees us from Original Sin and our personal sins are forgiven
God gives us his grace
What does God’s grace do?
Restores what sin has damaged in us
WHat is the difference between venial and mortal sin
Venial sin weakens are friendship with God and Mortal Sin completely damages our friendship with God. However, if you keep on committing venial sin you can eventually break your friendship with God.
What 3 conditions make a sin mortal?
When the sin is about a serious matter
We commit the sin knowing it is seriously wrong
We commit the sin out of free will
What happens through the Sacrament of Penance?
The light of grace un us is strengthen
We are reconciled in the CHurch and strengthened to live by the Ten Commandments
How are we united to the Blessed Trinity?
through the grace that’s we receive
What has happened through the person of Jesus
God reveals who he really is
God shows us how he wants us to live
God offers us forgiveness and salvation
