Define evaluation.
The making of a judgment about the amount, number or value of something: assessment.
What are the two types of systems?
Closed vs. open system
What are the names of the two evaluation typologies?
Formative evaluation and summative evaluation
Define formative evaluation.
Evaluations which are conducted primarily for program improvement (which program components worked according to the plan and which ones failed to work).
Define summative evaluation.
Evaluations which are conducted primarily for program assessment ( did the program meet its goals or not).
