What is replication?
Repeating a study, usually using different participants, perhaps of another age, SES, or culture.
Steps of the Scientific Method?

- Develop a hypothesis
- Test the hypothesis
- Draw Conclusions

What is SIDS?
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
A situation in which a healthy infant, usually between 2 and 6 months, suddenly stops breathing and dies while asleep.
Who discovered a way to prevent SIDS?
Susan Beal.
Define Nature.
In development, nature refers to the traits, capacities, and limitations that each individual inherits genetically from their parents at the moment of conception.
Define nurture.
In development, nurture includes all the all the environmental influences that affect the individual after conception. This included everything from the mother’s nutrition while pregnant to the cultural influences in the nation.
