“Women are supposed to be very calm generally: but women feel just as men feel; they need exercise for their faculties, and a field for their efforts as much as their brothers do” - feminists would agree.

How does Jane come across Mr Rochester? What is unique about this meeting?
A
“Man and horse were down; they had slipped on the sheet of ice” - reversal of gender roles. not a very meet cute. and she asks him if he needs help, she wouldn’t ask him if she had known who he was.
