Why could they have fallen>

A
  • syncope - due to dysrhythmias, venous pooling, orthostatic hypotension, hypoxia, anemia or hypoglycemia
  • alcohol and medications e.g. anti-hypertension, diuretics, hypoglycemic agents
  • changes in postural stability
  • slower reaction times
  • poor visual acuity and visual attention
