Q

What does J.I.T stands for? Explain how this method works

Nicolas Montenegro

A

J.I.T stands for Just-in-time inventory control. This production method involves reducing or virtually eliminating the need to hold inventories of raw materials or unsold inventories of the finished product. The raw materials are delivered just in time to be used in the production process, the making of any parts is undertaken just in time to be used in the text stage of production and the finished product is made just in time to be delivered to the customer.
