What is the Justice system?
The institution and procedures for applying law in society.
What does “Fair And Equitable” mean?
Governed by rules that apply to everyone.
What is Legislation?
Laws that are created though the legislative process.
What does Validity mean?
Reliability, based on a critical source, fact, or bias.
What responsibilities does a jury have?
You must make whatever arrangements are necessary for transport to show up on time.
What rights do you have when you have been arrested?
To remain silent
To speak to a lawyer
To have a lawyer if you go to court.
What is the defense?
Evidence that supports the innocents of a person.
What is the prosecution?
The prosecution includes evidence that the guilt of an accused person.
What does Sequester mean?
To sequester means to remove from contact.
What is the Elizabeth Fry Society?
It is a way people can go through court and not be judged based on their crimes.
What is the Youth Criminal Justice Act?
An act where people under the age of 18 have a better way to go through the justice system and have nothing put on their criminal record if they complete what the court says.
Can you get out of Jury duty?
Yes, if you can prove them undue hard ships you can get out of doing jury duty.
