  1. Planning. Business planning can take a variety of forms, from informal to
    preparing a formal document and/or a business plan.
  2. Knowledge of competitors. Entrepreneurs know who their competitors are,
    what they are doing, and what the position of their business is compared to
    that of competitors.
  3. Mainly market orientated. The products and services of a market-oriented
    entrepreneur are developed to meet the needs of the clients.
  4. Client service. To ensure good client service, entrepreneurs usually have
    good relations with their employees and their clients
  5. High-quality work enjoys priority. The client expects the quality of the
    product to be in line with the price charged.
  6. Financial insight and management. To achieve the objectives of the
    business and the entrepreneur, sound financial principles must be applied.
  7. Knowledge, skills and competencies with regard to the business.

Sufficient relevant experience and having the core competencies that have
been gained before starting one’s own business is one of the most important
determinants of success.
