What did Nebuchadnezzar see in his second dream?
He saw a tree in the middle of the earth. The tree grew very tall and strong, reaching high into the heavens for all the world to see.
It was loaded with fruit for all to eat and had fresh green leaves. Wild animals lived in its shade and birds nested in its braches.
All the world was fed from this tree
A holy messenger came from heaven and shouted to cut down the tree and chop of its branches, chase the animals and birds away.
What was the meaning behind Daniel’s second dream?
Nebuchadnezzar will be driven from human society and live in the fields with the wild animals.
Nebuchadnezzar will eat grass like a cow, drenched with the dew of heaven.
Seven periods of time will pass while he lives this way until he learns that the Most High rules over the kingdom of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses.
Nebuchadnezzar will receive his kingdom back when he has learned that heaven rules.

Daniel asked the king to stop sinning and do what is right, break from his wicked past and be merciful to the poor.

The king did not take his advice seriously and walked along the roof of his palace and full of pride, overlooking the city of Babylon.
What happened after Nebuchadnezzar’s sanity returned and he was restored to his place of honour?
He gave glory to the God of heaven and of Daniel.

What did Belshazzar do during his big party?
They were drinking and their wives and concubines took the gold and silver cups from the Temple in Jerusalem and drank from it.
They sang songs in praise of their gods.
What happened when Belshazzar was throwing a big party?
Suddenly, fingers of a human hand appeared near a wall without an attached body.
The fingers slowly began to write some words on the wall.
What was the message that was written on the wall during Belshazzar’s party?
Mene, mene, tekel and Parsin.
What does the message “Mene,mene tekel and Parsin” mean?
God has numbered the days of Belshazzar’s reign and has brought it to an end.
What does the word Tekel mean?
‘weighed’- weighed on the balances and have not measured up
What does the word Parsin mean?
‘divided’-your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.
Who took over the kingdom after Belshazzar was killed?
Darius the Mede, at the age of 62.
